2026 Event Sponsors
Lawn Registration is open for the 2026 event!
Rake-A-Thon is an annual, family-friendly service event held by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville. The concept is simple: we recruit volunteers to rake lawns, and we recruit neighbors willing to donate to Habitat in exchange for their lawn being raked.
All proceeds raised through Rake-a-thon go towards building future Habitat homes, getting us one step closer to our vision of a Greater Charlottesville community where everyone has a decent place to live. Sign your lawn up today!
Register to Volunteer for the Annual Rake-a-Thon
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, volunteers will rally for the 13th Annual Rake-a-Thon Event! Each year, Rake-a-Thon is championed by our UVA Habitat Chapter, area high-school Youth Leadership Team, and Faith-Based Youth Groups. Your participation will help us meet our fundraising goal of $40,000 to directly support affordable housing in our community!
Why Participate in Rake-A-Thon?
In 2025, we met our goal of recruiting 500 rakers and 100 lawns. All proceeds raised through Rake-a-Thon go to building future Habitat homes, getting us one step closer to our vision of a Greater Charlottesville community where everyone has a decent place to live.
