Why Participate in Rake-A-Thon?
Our goal this year is to recruit 500 rakers and 100 lawns. All proceeds raised through Rake-a-Thon go to building future Habitat homes, getting us one step closer to our vision of a Greater Charlottesville community where everyone has a decent place to live.

All funds raised during the 12th annual Rake-a-Thon will support our work throughout the Greater Charlottesville community to build and rebuild homes and communities.
Each year Rake-a-Thon is championed by our UVA Habitat Chapter, area high-school Youth Leadership Team, and Faith-Based Youth Groups. Your support helps us meet our fundraising goal of $40,000 to directly support affordable home ownership in our community!
Lawn Registration is Currently CLOSED for the Concluded 2025 Event!
Rake-A-Thon is an annual, family-friendly service event held by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville. The concept is simple: we recruit volunteers to rake lawns, and we recruit neighbors willing to donate to Habitat in exchange for their lawn being raked.
