PRICE Grant

PRICE Grant

In December 2024, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville a $29.1 million, six-year grant to support the revitalization and preservation of the Southwood Mobile Home Park.

Part of a new congressional program called the Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE), this grant will help Habitat redevelop the Southwood Community without displacement. It will dramatically improve the quality of life for residents while contributing significant new public infrastructure to the southern portion of the Albemarle growth area.

Habitat’s application and HUD-approved Action Plan for the PRICE grant are presented here to ensure transparency around grant-related activities. The public is also invited to submit comments and feedback using the information found below.
