Every Woman Can Make a Difference
Women Build is a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. You can also come alone, and make new friends. The atmosphere is collaborative and friendly.
We come together to build stronger, safer communities. Whether through donating, advocating, or volunteering on the construction site, every woman can empower Habitat Partner Families to build stability and independence.

Women Build: Spring 2026
March is Women’s History Month, and we celebrated by raising
the walls on three new homes for local families! More than 250
volunteers came together to swing hammers, raise walls, and
stand alongside the families who will one day call these houses
home.
To make this effort possible, we raised $100,000 in support
to fund the cost of materials.
Women Build has shown a powerful truth: when women unite with
skill and determination, they create lasting, positive change that
strengthens families, neighborhoods, and our entire region.
Support by donating or sponsoring Women Build with your organization.
As a sponsor, your organization’s support helps fund construction, supplies, and resources for families in need. Reach out to Natalie Burgwin nburgwin@cvillehabitat.org for more details.

Why Support Women Build
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville celebrated with the community’s newest homebuyer, Binta Rose, in the mixed-income community of Burnet Commons. Binta’s story of perseverance in the face of deep adversity added extra meaning to the completion of her journey to homeownership.
“We are so proud of Binta and her boys”, said Dan Rosensweig, Habitat’s President and CEO. “They came together at a really hard time, working as a family to contribute more than 200 hours of sweat equity on both the construction site and at The Habitat Store to heal and make their shared dream of homeownership come true.”
