Ms. Fleming has lived on Mickie Town Road for over 50 years. As a single retired childcare provider in the Western part of Louisa County, she turned to Habitat for help with critical home repairs after encouragement from her daughter. “When [Habitat] said I was next in the queue [for repairs], I was so excited!”

Ms. Fleming’s aging home had original peeling siding, broken windows, and a deteriorating rear deck. During demolition, the Louisa volunteer team also found significant water damage to the roofing that needed replacing.

Over 500 volunteer hours were spent on this critical home repair project by the Louisa team, completed last fall. To all of the Habitat supporters who made this possible, Ms. Fleming offers her heartfelt, “Thank you!”
