Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity and is a great way to get involved in your community and to make new friends. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville brings together individuals and groups from all backgrounds to work to ensure that all families in need have a decent, affordable home.   We would love your help both on and off the jobsite.

Please take a moment to review the various opportunities that are available and contact our volunteer coordinator, Robin at (434) 293-9066 or rfrancis@cvillehabitat.org to discuss your skills and the best match.

Weekday Construction
Are you wanting to fine tune your carpentry, plumbing, or electrial skills. Ever wonder who is doing all the detailed work on these homes? It's our Midweek Volunteers and they're looking for reinforcements!   You can sign up for a day by clicking HERE for the online construction calendar, or email us if you want to be a regular.

Saturday Construction with Creative Housing
While Saturdays are typically reserved for the sponsor groups, we are currently seeking volunteers to help build homes with our sister non-profit Creative Housing. For the most part, you'll think you're working on a Habitat House.  In fact, you can sign up the same way by clicking HERE for the online construction calendar.

The Habitat Store
The Habitat Store needs volunteers to help with customer service and processing donations. The Store sells new and used building materials donated by the local community. Proceeds go towards the construction of Habitat homes in the Charlottesville area. We especially need volunteers who can regularly lift heavy merchandise. Cashiers needed as well. Many vacancies! 2-4 hour commitment on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis in a fun, laid-back work environment. Interested?
