Things to know before you sign up :

Directions, Parking & Transportation: You will receive a link for googlemaps when you sign-up online. Space is limited on most of our jobsites, so please plan to carpool or use alternative modes of transportation. Bus route links are listed for all our current projects.

Age Restrictions: All construction volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Anyone under 18 is limited in their activities by Habitat International and our insurance company. These include working height and power tool restrictions. 14 and 15 year old volunteers are also asked to RSVP with our volunteer coordinator (not online) to ensure the work being done on a site is suitable.

Work Hours: Our construction staff is working summer hours in July & August. You will find us onsite Tuesday - Saturday from 7:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. Volunteers should plan to arrive at 7:45 to begin the sign-in process so we can begin work promptly at 8:00 a.m. Construction volunteers are asked to work the entire day unless alternate plans are made with the volunteer coordinator.

AmeriCorps Crew Leader: HFHGC andmany other affilates would not function without the service of AmeriCorps. This September - July volunteer commitment comes with a living stipend and the opportunity to be a part of our constrtuction team every day! Applications are being accepted.

Saturday Volunteer Coordinator: Help us welcome our volunteers, sign them in, provide name tages and other safety gear and get everyone ready to build! No more than a 2 hour commitment beginning at 8:30 a.m. is required. No experience necessary.
