Wendy Miranda Receives CHIP Award

Habitat Partner Family Wendy Miranda has been awarded the annual Imagine Award from the Children's Health Improvement Program (CHIP). This award honors the achievements of CHIP families who have worked hard to rise above diverse and difficult obstacles to provide a healthy home and a promising future for their children.

Wendy is a single mother of two and works at the Doubletree Hotel. She was approved for Habitat partnership in July 2012 and has already earned enough sweat equity hours to select her home, which will be part of the second and final phase of construction at Sunrise Park, the nation’s first trailer park transformation completed without resident displacement.
